Rewarding opportunities to fulfill community service

We collaborate with the Youth Service Bureau and Adult Probation Officers, who placed youth and adults with us, to fulfill court ordered community service. Stone Soup provides an opportunity for youth to fulfill their service obligations for confirmation classes, National Honor Society, Job's Daughters, ROTC, Scouting Organizations, etc., thereby helping them build values through education and volunteerism to serve their communities.  Youth who perform court ordered community service, gain skills, feel valued, and benefit from the mentoring they receive.

Quick community service facts

* In 2008, youth and adult volunteers performed 2,872 hours of work for Stone Soup .  Over 70 local volunteers contributed time assisting with daily operations.  Volunteers are always welcome at Stone Soup.
