Summer Activity Challenge

Want to keep the kids busy for the rest of the summer?  Here is a way to do that!! Stop on over to Stone Soup Thrift Shop Wed July 15th- Friday July 17th between 10AM and Noon (by the front door) to register your kids for the Summer Activity Challenge!  We will give you the details then! It starts Monday July 20th!!

For adults, we know it can be daunting to come up with ideas to keep the kids busy over the summer.  With our Summer Activity Challenge, we have some suggestions that encourage not only family bonding time, but some fun! So it will be important that there is adult involvement/engagement for some of these activities.

This challenge is geared toward the ages of 5-14.  There are weekly check-ins at Stone Soup Thrift Shop along with weekly giveaways!  Complete as many of the daily activities each week and the kids with the most activities will be entered to win a prize including a chance at winning a brand new bicycle! The more activities that are completed, the more of a chance to qualify If you have questions, please send an email to:

Hope to see you there!!!

We have had the pleasure to help many throughout our community. While people help us by donating, we have been able to help make charitable donations.

We take pleasure in helping the community in more ways than one. We offer voucher assistance and recycle our goods. On top of this we also love to partake in charitable donations for a number of causes.

We have donated a number of various items to help different charities in the surrounding areas.

Stone Soup has donated to Liberty Ridge Elementary School to help with the Children’s Grief Connection by donating 50 teddy bears. Helping with the annual “Soles for Souls” at Gospel Lighthouse, allowed us to donate 160 pairs of shoes.

Stone Soup Thrift Shop's parent organization is Basic Needs Inc. of South Washington County, a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
