Recycling and Renewing

Stone Soup has been dedicated to recycling to help the environment for years. Recently, we have reassessed how Stone Soup has been recycling to find the most efficient and beneficial ways to reduce the amount of goods sent to landfills.

We received a grant from Washington County through BizRecycling to put a new recycling program in place.

We recycle items from plastics, metals, aluminum, records, CDs, paper, pots & pans, books, clothing, shoes and more.

With this new program in place, we have purchased new containers, liners and signage to easily identify where items should be placed. Training for all staff is provided by BizRecycling and we are working on developing an online training program for new staff members or volunteers.

Stone Soup is dedicated to creating an environment that makes recycling easier to help reduce our impact on our landfills.
